Thank you for registering your family for Corpus Christi’s Youth Ministry programs! We are excited to begin working with you. Our mission is to build the kingdom of God by empowering teens to strive to become saints in the world today. I say “our” because the Core Team and I cannot do it alone. It is the family that truly brings faith to life. Within the home lies the school of virtue. It is in the family that children learn what it means to live holy lives on a day-to-day basis. Alone, our youth ministry program can do little, but with the family, we can make our mission a reality.
We thank you for the effort you have already made to bring your teens to this point in their spiritual journey. We hope that you find our youth ministry programs to be an effective continuation of this journey. Please pray for this ministry and we will pray for your families.
~ Brittany Molda, High School Youth Minister, and the Youth Ministry Core Team
Corpus Christi Parish YM program seeks to build the kingdom of God by empowering teens to strive to become saints in today’s world. Through interactive catechesis, prayer, Christian service, and fellowship, we are learning to live as disciples who chose to know Him, love Him, and serve Him.
Corpus Christi’s Youth Ministry seeks to work with the family to foster the spiritual growth of teenagers. We believe in relational ministry that focuses on persons more than programs, and aims for both understanding and conversion in our catechesis. We consider the fundamental task of all catechesis is teaching the person of Christ and His Church. We know that our catechesis is a moment in the lifelong evangelization of teenagers; we therefore seek to meet them where they are in their journey and encourage a deepening relationship with Christ.
In “Renewing the Vision” the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops defined three goals of ministry. Here at Corpus Christi, we work towards the realization of these goals
- To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
- To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
- To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
