Would you like to be a part of our parish Prayer Line, responding to requests for prayer by parishioners in need? Prayer requests are received at the parish office by Kathy Kelleher, who then emails the requests weekly to our list of prayer volunteers. It’s a simple but important way to stay spiritually connected to our brothers and sisters in the parish. If you’d like to participate in our Prayer Line, or if you have an intention to include, please call Kathy at 436-4555, X13, or email her at [email protected].
“Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.”
― Mother Teresa
This ministry is for those who would like to combine their love of knitting and/or crocheting with a prayerful experience of reaching out to others – in celebration, in thanksgiving, and in comfort and solace. Prayer Shawls are distributed to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, people who are homebound, people who are grieving the loss of a loved one, and more. Prayer Shawl Ministry meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month, at 1 PM in the Lower Hall of the Parish Center. Newcomers are always welcome to attend. Contact Elaine Wilder at 603-436-8379 for more information.
The Catherine Athanasiou Memorial Library has over 200 books relating to Mental Illness. Its books are available for checkout (“honor system” log book) whenever parish office is open, 9:00am – 5:00pm, Mon. – Fri. Click here for an inventory (as of May 2018).
